About
Professor Satoshi Shimano is a faculty member at Hosei University in Japan. His research primarily focuses on ecoregional patterns of protist communities, particularly testate amoebae, as well as terrestrial eukaryotic microbial diversity in relation to climate and microhabitat. His recent publications also explore new species descriptions and ecological assessments of various mite and millipede taxa. He is recognized for contributing significantly to the understanding of biodiversity within different habitats across Eurasia.
