Postdoctoral Research Scientist opportunity at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, Institute of Molecular Virology and Cell Biology, in Greifswald–Insel Riems, Germany. This position is within the ONEMUC research group and focuses on influenza A virus interactions with avian and mammalian mucosal surfaces . The research combines airway cell culture models , microscopy , and molecular virology , offering a strong environment for candidates interested in virus-host interactions, respiratory biology, and experimental virology. The role is open to applicants with a completed PhD in virology , molecular biology , genomics , immunology , or a related discipline. Previous experience with influenza viruses , airway cultures , imaging , or NGS data analysis would be particularly valuable. Applicants should also be prepared to meet the mandatory German security clearance requirements under the Security Clearance Act (SÜG), along with personal and medical suitability checks.
