Postdoctoral Positions in Nanostructured Materials, Polymer Science, and Soft Matter at the University of Georgia

The Nanostructured Materials Laboratory at the University of Georgia in Athens is seeking expressions of interest for multiple postdoctoral positions pending institutional approval. The research is part of government-funded interdisciplinary programs spanning advanced functional materials , organic synthesis , polymer science , surface science , bioinspired materials , soft matter , nanostructured systems , and applications at the interface of organic chemistry , materials science , biology , and engineering . Ongoing projects include photo- and thermo-responsive materials, biomaterials, cell cultures, colloidal and interfacial phenomena, micro- and nanofabrication, sustainable materials, and advanced characterization of soft and hybrid materials. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, or a closely related field. Strong experience in polymer synthesis, organic synthesis, photochemistry, surface/interface science, biomaterials, hydrogels, microfluidics, nanomaterials, and advanced characterization methods is especially welcome. The appointment is initially for one year and may be renewed depending on performance, funding, and mutual interest. The positions are expected to become available in September-October 2026 . To apply, send a CV, a brief statement of research interests and experience, and contact details for three professional references to Sergiy Minko at biomatjob@uga.edu . Review begins immediately and continues until the positions are filled.
