Fully Funded PhD, Research Master’s, and Postdoctoral Positions in Risk, Resilience, Climate Adaptation, and Infrastructure
Seth Guikema, Professor of Risk Analysis and Predictive Data Analytics at Western University, is recruiting PhD students, research-based Master’s students, and postdoctoral scholars.
The research group focuses on interdisciplinary work at the intersection of risk, resilience, climate adaptation, infrastructure, and decision-making under uncertainty. Example topics include natural hazards, community resilience, environmental systems analysis, climate adaptation planning, robust decision-making, water system planning and management, and urban flood risk analysis.
The group’s work combines quantitative modeling with real-world decisions about how communities and infrastructure systems can better prepare for, respond to, and adapt to natural hazards, climate change, and other disruptions.
PhD and MESc positions are fully funded. Applicants from engineering, environmental, data science, operations research, and related quantitative backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
