Sharath Guntuku

The University of Pennsylvania is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in human–AI interaction for health and education . The project focuses on creating AI-enabled systems that can support learning, training, assessment, and professional development across multiple settings. The postdoctoral researcher will design, deploy, and evaluate AI role-play, feedback, and assessment systems. These systems are intended for students, frontline workers, and clinicians, creating opportunities to study how people interact with AI tools in educational, workplace, and healthcare contexts. The work brings together artificial intelligence, human behavior, psychology, education, and health-focused applications. Research activities will involve developing interactive AI experiences and assessing their effectiveness with diverse users and real-world stakeholders. The position is associated with Penn Engineering AI and the broader University of Pennsylvania research environment, under the direction of Sharath Guntuku.
