About

Shelby Clark is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on social supports for transition-age youth, the experiences of social workers with moral distress, and organizational compassion in relation to workforce well-being. She has recently published articles examining the effects of resilience and meditation on child welfare professionals, as well as the relationships between self-care and well-being outcomes in the child welfare workforce. Through her work, she seeks to reimagine supports for youth in foster care and enhance the understanding of factors impacting child welfare.
