Shigetoshi Oiki

Shigetoshi Oiki is a Specially Appointed Professor at the University of Fukui, Japan. His research focuses on membrane biology, mechanobiology, and protein kinetics, as evidenced by his recent articles on fast-flicker currents, lipid bilayer tension control, and potassium channel gating. Professor Oiki's work also includes theoretical studies on peptide insertion into membranes and investigations into ion conductance selectivity.
