Postdoctoral Fellowship in Optimization for Production and Logistics at UNESP

The Systems Modeling and Optimization Group at UNESP (São José do Rio Preto campus) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow supported by FAPESP. This opportunity is centered on optimization in production and logistics, with research topics including cutting, packing, lot-sizing, scheduling, routing, and location problems. The selected researcher will work under the supervision of Prof. Silvio Alexandre de Araujo on the integration of mathematical models and the development of solution methods for complex integrated lot-sizing problems. The fellowship includes a monthly tax-free scholarship of BRL 12,570.00 (approximately USD 2,500), relocation and transportation support for moves over 50 km, the possibility of a Research Internship Abroad (BEPE grant), and an additional 10% annual research contingency fund. Eligibility requirements include a PhD obtained within the last 7 years in Combinatorial Optimization, Operations Research, or a related area, plus experience in mathematical modeling and programming in C, C++, or Python. Applicants should also have an excellent academic record with no course failures. The deadline is June 30, 2026. To apply, candidates should email their CV, academic transcripts, cover letter, and recommendation letter to Prof. Silvio Alexandre de Araujo with the subject line: Grant PD/FAPESP - UNESP.
