About

Stanislav Polzer is an Associate Professor at VSB Technical University Ostrava, Czech Republic. His research areas encompass the mechanics of abdominal aortic aneurysms, including studies on wall thickness variability, rupture risk assessment, and the mechanical properties of aortic tissue. He has developed a MATLAB-based algorithm for analyzing collagen fibers and has investigated the effect of aortic geometry on pressure and stress. His recent publications also cover the mechanical properties of 3D printed materials and the failure properties of vascular tissues.
