University of Copenhagen (Department of Computer Science, DIKU) is advertising a 24-month postdoctoral fellowship in Computer Science focused on stochastic models of morphology evolution for the morphAI project. The project develops the methodological foundation for using modern AI and data science techniques to model morphological variation. The research spans stochastic models in infinite-dimensional spaces , shape analysis , numerical implementations, and the bridge between mathematical theory and computational software. The postdoc will conduct research in the project field and may also have limited teaching and other duties. The ideal candidate has a PhD in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field, with a strong publication record, theoretical contributions, and demonstrated ability to implement numerical algorithms. Experience with advanced mathematics, statistics, machine learning, and Wasserstein geometry is especially relevant. The position is based at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark . The department describes a world-leading research environment with senior researchers, junior researchers, and master students, and expects physical presence at the workplace.
