Professor Waqar Ahmed is the Deputy Head of School and a Professor of Nanoscience at the University of Lincoln, UK. His research focuses on the interaction of human gingival fibroblasts with titanium dioxide nanotubes and their comparison with commercially pure titanium and its alloys. He has also conducted systematic assessments of the stability of SLA® and SLActive® implant surfaces and explored the anti-inflammatory potential of amlexanox-loaded nanoliposomes for treating oral aphthous stomatitis.
