Postdoctoral Researcher in Bi-chiral Sources of Circularly Polarized Light (BCP-LED)

The Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw is offering a full-time postdoctoral position in the project Bi-chiral sources of circularly polarized light (BCP-LED) , led by dr hab. Wiktor Lewandowski, prof. ucz. The work is based in the Laboratory of Organic Nanomaterials and will be carried out at the Biological and Chemical Research Centre (CNBCh) and the Faculty of Chemistry in Warsaw, Poland. This postdoc is part of the Foundation for Polish Science First Team project and focuses on circularly polarized light, organic nanomaterials, and optoelectronic device development. The research environment combines organic chemistry, nanomaterials characterization, and device fabrication, with possible involvement in circular dichroism (CD), circularly polarized luminescence (CPL), polarimetry, Mueller matrix analysis, thin-film nanomaterials, luminescent semiconductor nanocrystals, and LED/PLED electroluminescent devices. The successful candidate should hold a PhD in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or a closely related field by the start date. Strong laboratory experience, experimental design, data analysis skills, and the ability to work in a team are expected. Experience in at least one of the project-relevant experimental areas is required, together with good English proficiency. The position is a postdoctoral appointment under a full-time employment contract for 18 months, with a total monthly employment cost of PLN 16,800 gross plus employer contributions.
