William Picking

William Picking is a Professor at the University of Missouri in the United States. His research focuses on vaccine development, particularly regarding Shigella, and explores the molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis. Recent publications include studies on the transcriptomic responses to Shigella infection, the challenges in Shigella vaccine development, and the characterization of TLR4 agonists. He is also investigating novel targets within the DNA Polymerase I family of enzymes.
