Postdoctoral / Junior Research Fellow Opportunity in Human-AI Interaction and XR at The University of Hong Kong

Postdoctoral / Junior Research Fellow opportunity at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) under the RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS) 2027/28 (formerly the RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme / PDFS). The position is aimed at outstanding PhD graduates interested in building an independent research agenda in a strong research environment at HKU. The host researcher is Xiang Li , Assistant Professor at HKU, who is seeking candidates whose work intersects with Human Augmentation , Context-Aware Interactive Systems , Human–AI Interaction , Proactive/Agentic AI , XR , Smart Glasses , Spatial Computing , Collaborative and Social XR , and Wearable/Ubiquitous Interactive Systems . Funding: 24-month full-time appointment, extendable up to 36 months, with an annual stipend of HK$430,000 plus a HK$13,600/year conference and travel allowance . Eligibility: applicants should have obtained their PhD on or after January 1, 2023, or expect to complete all PhD requirements by August 31, 2027. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain the legal right to work and reside in Hong Kong.
