Seoul National University in South Korea is hiring postdoctoral researchers to join a growing AI for Science research program led by Professor Yousung Jung. The initiative focuses on using artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific discovery. Research areas include scientific foundation models , LLM-based AI agents, multi-agent systems, agentic scientific discovery, self-driving laboratories, autonomous experimentation, and generative AI for molecular and materials discovery. The group aims to develop AI systems that can formulate scientific hypotheses, plan and execute research, and learn from computational and experimental results. Applicants from AI, Computer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering , and related fields are encouraged to apply. Candidates with strong AI backgrounds may be considered even without previous chemistry or materials science experience.
