This is a rare PhD opportunity at the intersection of fusion energy, superconducting magnet technology, and engineering innovation, jointly hosted by the Paihau–Robinson Research Institute at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington and OpenStar Technologies in New Zealand. The project focuses on quench management in high-field superconducting magnets for fusion energy applications, a critical challenge for the next generation of clean energy power plants.
