Postdoctoral Researcher opportunity in Digital Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin–Madison , within the Digital Agriculture Research Lab in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering. The project is focused on remote sensing , precision agriculture , crop yield prediction , deep learning , crop modeling , and hybrid modeling that combines crop models with machine learning. The postdoc will work on predicting crop yield at both regional (county) and field scales using satellite remote sensing data and advanced predictive modeling. This is an interdisciplinary research environment with opportunities to collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds. The position is supervised by Associate Professor Zhou Zhang in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Candidates with backgrounds in remote sensing, machine learning/deep learning, precision agriculture, and crop modeling are especially encouraged to apply. Strong scientific writing, publication record, and communication skills are also highlighted. The position is immediately available with a flexible start date and is expected to begin no later than September 2026 .
