DSU Scholarship 2026

The DSU Scholarship is a need-based student support programme in Italy, generally administered through regional bodies for the right to university study and implemented by participating universities. It is designed to help students with limited financial means access higher education by reducing major study and living costs.

Based on the referenced postings, DSU support can be available for Bachelor's, Master's, and in some cases PhD study, depending on the university and regional call. Reported benefits include a full tuition fee waiver, free or subsidized accommodation, university meals, and additional financial support for living expenses or study-related costs such as books. Some calls may also include extra assistance for students with disabilities or special needs.

The scholarship is typically open to Italian, European Union, and non-European Union students, but eligibility is strongly tied to financial need. Applicants usually need to show family income and asset documentation. For international applicants, especially non-EU students, this often means providing official income certificates and legalized or translated documents according to the university's instructions. In the University of Pisa posting, applicants also had to be planning to enroll or already enrolled and must not already hold a degree at the same level.

DSU scholarships are not a single-university programme; the exact benefits, study levels, and deadlines can vary by institution and region. The reference postings mention opportunities connected to the University of Pisa and the University of Milan, both in Italy.

Students should check the relevant university's DSU or regional financial aid page for the official call, required documents, and application steps. In general, applicants should prepare admission or enrollment details, academic records where relevant, and complete financial documentation early, since missing or non-compliant documents can affect eligibility.
