Its research is grounded in real-world data and challenges through close collaboration with national and international infrastructure and transport authorities, providing opportunities for research with a direct route to practical impact.
Successful PhD candidates will develop projects aligned with the group's research interests and may explore challenges faced by infrastructure and transport authorities. The opportunity is suitable for researchers interested in civil engineering, resilient infrastructure, risk-informed decision-making, transport systems, and asset management.
The scholarships are intended for an October 2027 start and are open to highly motivated applicants from the UK and abroad.
