The new Gabilondo group in the UCD School of Chemistry is recruiting a PhD student for a 4-year studentship focused on the synthetic discovery of metastable, crystalline semiconductors, the study of their formation pathways, and the investigation of their optical and electronic properties. The research is aimed at new functional materials with potential applications in solar-driven photocatalysis and non-linear optics.
