The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships (GOI-IES) programme offers a unique opportunity for high-achieving international students from outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the UK to pursue master's or PhD studies at leading Irish universities. Each year, 60 scholarships are awarded, providing a €10,000 stipend and a full tuition fee waiver for one year of full-time study at NFQ levels 9 or 10. The programme is managed by the Higher Education Authority in partnership with Irish higher education institutions.

Applicants must first apply for admission to a master's, postgraduate diploma, or PhD programme at an eligible Irish institution and secure a conditional or final offer. The scholarship application requires two references and proof of admission.
