About this position
This scholarship from the Fundação Cidade de Lisboa supports students from Portuguese-speaking African countries who are studying, or have applied to study, at a university in Lisbon. It is designed for master’s-level study and is offered in the areas of Law, Economics, Engineering and Management.
The award is administered by the Fundação Cidade de Lisboa and has been supporting students since 1990. Selected students receive financial support alongside broader academic and social assistance, including help settling into Portugal, language and soft-skills training, and work placements with partner organisations. The scholarship is awarded for one year at a time and can be renewed for the standard duration of the studies if the academic progression requirement is met.
The call is aimed at students from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe who are enrolled on, or seeking admission to, a master’s programme in Lisbon. It is a student-support programme linked to university study in the Portuguese capital.
