LOTUS Programme

Open call for the JST LOTUS Programme for Master’s and PhD students in India interested in research stays in Japan.

The post highlights opportunities in Information Retrieval and Generative Models, with a possible host at the University of Tsukuba under Professor Hideo Joho. The programme supports collaborative research between Japan and India and is aimed at graduate students (master’s/doctoral) and postdoctoral fellows at Indian universities.

Eligibility: applicants must be enrolled at an Indian university, be 40 years old or under, and be part of a joint research plan involving a Japanese PI and an implementing institution in Japan. The Japanese applicant must submit the proposal through e-Rad.

Deadline: 2026-06-09 (Japan Standard Time, noon).
