About this position
AToUT is an international postdoctoral fellowship programme coordinated by the University of Toulouse and embedded in the TIRIS initiative. It supports researchers who want to develop an independent and ambitious project within the broad and diverse research environment of Toulouse, which includes more than 140 research units.
The 2027 call offers up to 15 fellowships for 24 months each. Fellows are expected to design and carry out a research project that fits one of the programme’s three interdisciplinary priorities: Health & Well-being, Global Changes & Societal Impacts, or Sustainable Transitions. The programme is open to researchers across disciplines and encourages work that is both scientifically ambitious and externally connected, with opportunities for international and intersectoral collaboration.
Applicants must identify a host research unit in Toulouse and submit a proposal that is supported by host and supervision information. The application package includes the candidate’s CV, motivation letter, research experience, research proposal, PhD certificate, and ethics self-assessment. Successful fellows will join a setting that combines research infrastructure, scientific networks, mentoring, and career-development support.
The programme is co-funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe / MSCA COFUND and is positioned to accelerate postdoctoral careers while strengthening scientific independence.
