NDDC Foreign Master's Postgraduate Scholarship

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is offering its Foreign Master's Postgraduate Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic session, targeting qualified indigenes of the Niger Delta region. The scholarship aims to boost human resource development by supporting postgraduate studies at accredited foreign universities in fields crucial to regional and national progress.

Eligible disciplines include Agricultural Sciences/Biotechnology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, Information Technology/Artificial Intelligence, Medical Sciences, Architecture/Building Technology, and Law. Applicants must have a First Class or Second Class Upper Division Bachelor's degree from a recognized university and be under 40 years old. Selection involves an online application, preliminary shortlisting based on academic credentials and local government identification, a computer-based test, and final verification by local authorities.

The scholarship covers tuition and related costs, with the amount determined by the prevailing exchange rate of the Naira. Candidates must submit documents such as a recent passport photograph, local government identification letter, postgraduate admission letter from a recognized overseas university, relevant degrees, and NYSC discharge/exemption certificate. Preferences are given to candidates from oil-producing host communities/local government areas.
