About this position

This PhD scholarship at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced control algorithms for real-time control and process optimisation of drainage pipe networks. Funding for this position includes a generous stipend of $37,010 per annum (tax-exempt, indexed annually) for up to 3.5 years, with the possibility of a six-month extension if approved. Additionally, a tuition fee offset/sponsorship is provided, covering tuition fees for the first four full-time equivalent years of doctoral studies. This comprehensive funding package ensures that you can focus on your research without financial concerns.

Eligibility requirements include meeting the entry criteria for a QUT Doctor of Philosophy, including English language requirements, and enrolling as a full-time, internal student (unless approval for part-time or external study is obtained). Applicants should have a background in control engineering, computer science, municipal and environmental engineering, or a related field. Desirable qualities include strong problem-solving and self-learning abilities, a demonstrated research interest, teamwork skills, and research article publication.
