Sandrina Park Graduate Award

Murdoch University is advertising the Sandrina Park Graduate Award 2026, a PhD scholarship focused on water management in mining. The project sits within Murdoch University’s School of Engineering and Energy and is framed around improving the reliability of mine water models, especially for dewatering requirements in feasibility studies and cave mining methods such as block caving, panel caving, and sublevel caving.

This opportunity is well suited to applicants with interests in hydrogeology, mining engineering, environmental science, and related earth science or engineering fields. The scholarship is open to both international and domestic students. The successful applicant will receive a stipend of $37,000 for up to 3.5 years, and the award also covers tuition fees for 4 years.

Eligibility is research-focused. Applicants should have a relevant master’s degree or equivalent, an honours degree, a postgraduate qualification with a substantial research component, or comparable professional/research experience. The university also asks for evidence of research capability such as publications, conference presentations, project leadership, or organisational change experience. International applicants must meet English language requirements (IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 90 overall with no band below 20, or PTE 64 overall with no skill below 58).
