Student story
Peyman used to check university sites one by one. On ApplyKite, he found positions he'd never seen.
He applied to far more PhD positions than before, and was invited to interview in Austria and Belgium. For Canada, he used ApplyKite to find professors and write to many more of them, and received two offers. Today he is a fully funded PhD researcher at the Medical University of Vienna.

His toolkit
What Peyman used on ApplyKite
Positions search
Open positions in his field from many universities in one search, instead of one website at a time. It showed him universities and countries he had never seen.
Try itProfessors search
Professors whose background was close to his, or who had published in his area. That is how he found who to write to in Canada.
Try itAI drafting, now part of ApplyKite Twin
A personalised email for each professor, so he could write to many more than the ten a day he could manage on his own.
Try it
To find a PhD in Europe, Peyman checked university websites one at a time. Here is what changed when he came across ApplyKite, where it took him in three countries, and how he now helps students who are where he was.
One website at a time
Peyman wanted to do a PhD in Europe. To find one, he went through universities one by one, checking each website to see whether a position in his field had opened.
About two years ago, he came across ApplyKite by chance. It brings positions from university websites, job boards, LinkedIn and X into one search, so the work went much faster, and he began applying to far more positions than before.
I had to check universities and their websites one by one, to see whether they had opened a position in my field.”

ApplyKite also showed him positions at universities, and in countries, he hadn't come across before. Two of them, one in Austria and one in Belgium, invited him to interview, each for two rounds.
Neither became an offer. After that, he wanted to try Canada too.
It found me positions at different universities, in different countries, that I had never even seen before.”

In Canada, writing to professors is the usual way in. But finding professors whose background is close to yours, or who have published in your area, takes a long time.
Peyman found them with ApplyKite's Professors search, and used ApplyKite's AI to personalise each email. On his own, he could send ten personalised emails a day. With ApplyKite, he sent far more.
Several interviews followed, and two offers.
If I could send ten personalised emails a day on my own, with ApplyKite that number was much higher, because with its AI I could personalise each email completely and write much faster.”
Peyman S.PhD researcher at the Medical University of ViennaNow he mentors
Peyman is now a fully funded PhD researcher at the Medical University of Vienna, developing AI for cardiac PET/CT and hybrid imaging. Before that, he did a master's in biomedical engineering at the University of Isfahan, and worked remotely as a research collaborator with the University of Geneva.
In August 2026 he became an ApplyKite mentor, because, in his words, he remembers how alone he felt doing this himself. He helps students choose where to apply, write their statements, motivation letters and emails to supervisors, and prepare for interviews.
