About this position
CNRS Research Director Anton Granzhan is recruiting for an 18-month postdoctoral position in bioorganic chemistry and chemical biology at LCBPT (CNRS – Université Paris Cité, Paris, France).
The project builds on a recent discovery of small molecules that selectively bind DNA three-way junctions and show toxicity against certain cancer cells. The next stage is to design a new generation of macrocyclic TWJ ligands and heterobifunctional probes to investigate how these molecules act in cells.
Suitable candidates should hold a PhD in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or chemical biology, and have strong synthetic skills. Experience with macrocycle chemistry and/or heterobifunctional molecule synthesis would be an advantage.
The position starts in January 2027 or later. Applications are submitted via the CNRS job portal under reference UMR8601-ANTGRA-005. Review of applications begins on 20 November 2026.
This is a strong opportunity for researchers interested in the interface of organic synthesis, chemical biology, DNA-targeting ligands, and cancer-related molecular mechanisms.
