About this position
This postdoctoral fellowship is based at the Trottier Institute for Research on Exoplanets and the Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic at the Université de Montréal. The fellow will contribute to a research program combining exoplanet science, astronomical instrumentation, and data-intensive analysis in a collaborative research environment.
The position is centered on instrument development, data pipeline development, data analysis, and simulation tools. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in the service component of the fellowship, while also carrying out an independent research program for the remainder of their time. The advert emphasizes work related to exoplanets and related fields of astrophysics, with particular relevance to precision radial velocity instrumentation and complex observational data workflows.
The fellow will work on-site at the MIL campus in Montreal, with the option for a hybrid arrangement. The post is connected to the Université de Montréal’s postdoctoral environment and the SERUM-POSTDOC collective context. The opening is part of a broader research setting that links the institute, observatory, and university resources for instrumentation, observations, and astrophysical research.
The position is available for a start between May and September 2027 and is offered for two years, renewable for a third year subject to performance and funding availability.
