This postdoctoral scholar position at Ohio State University is based in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering and reports directly to Associate Professor Karen Dannemiller. The research focuses on exposures related to childhood asthma and the indoor microbiome, combining quantitative studies, development and validation of assessment tools, and qualitative methods such as coding interviews. Collaboration with external colleagues and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students are key aspects of the role. The position also involves assisting principal investigators with grant proposal preparation and supervising undergraduate students. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in engineering, public health, or a closely related field, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across disciplines and audiences.

Experience with R coding and mentoring undergraduates is desired. The position offers a fixed-term contract with a hiring rate of $61,008 per year.
