What's required
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, at least a UK equivalent Bachelors (Honours) 2:1 degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related area. English language requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6 in each category. Commitment to diversity and inclusion is valued. We're recruiting a fully funded PhD student to join an interdisciplinary project at the University of East Anglia, focused on disrupting the protein-protein interactions pathogens use to to invade plants. This is a unique opportunity to work at the interface of chemical biology, plant biology, and medicinal chemistry, using innovative platforms to design and test molecules that defend crops from disease.

- Evaluate their ability to block pathogen-host interactions
- Train in computational design, protein biochemistry, and plant assays
- Collaborate across UEA and The Sainsbury Laboratory
