About this position

The University of Oxford is offering a DPhil opportunity in cardiovascular research on “Sarcomeric cAMP signalling in cardiometabolic heart failure: mechanisms, modelling and translational biomarkers.”

The interdisciplinary project will examine how alterations in localised cAMP signalling contribute to cardiac dysfunction in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Research will bring together cutting-edge imaging, molecular signalling, cardiovascular physiology, modelling, and translational biomarker approaches.

Manuela Zaccolo and Professor Andrew Lewis will co-supervise the project. The position is funded by the BHF Centre of Research Excellence. Applicants should be enthusiastic and motivated to undertake doctoral research in cardiovascular science and heart failure biology. Further eligibility details, funding terms, and the application deadline should be checked on the linked application page.

Interested candidates can find out more and apply via the application link provided in the announcement.
