Fully Funded PhD Positions in Computational Imaging, Modelling, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Manchester University of Manchester in United Kingdom

The Centre for Computational Imaging and Modelling in Medicine at the University of Manchester is offering two fully funded PhD positions as part of the Bicentenary PhD Studentships. The projects are supervised by Dr. Ali Sarrami Foroushani and Prof Alejandro Frangi. Project 1 focuses on computational modelling and simulation of device-induced thrombosis, advancing in-silico trials of cardiovascular medical devices.

Project 2 centers on in-silico trials of neurovascular devices, particularly intra-saccular devices for treating brain aneurysms. The research group is seeking candidates with strong backgrounds in computational modelling, biomedical engineering, biomechanics, or related fields. Experience with computational fluid dynamics, in-silico trials, or medical device simulation is highly desirable. The studentships are fully funded, covering tuition and providing a stipend.
