About this position
The Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) is recruiting a PhD researcher to join Nicola Molinaro’s Brain Rhythms and Cognition group in Donostia–San Sebastián, Spain.
The PRO-LISTEN project examines how the adult brain adapts to learning and understanding an additional language. The research focuses on Spanish and Basque and uses naturalistic speech, longitudinal magnetoencephalography (MEG) recordings and computational modelling to investigate language-related brain dynamics over time.
The PhD researcher will combine neural and behavioural data with speech modelling, large language models and temporal response function analyses. The project offers an interdisciplinary environment connecting cognitive neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, computational linguistics, biomedical engineering and data science.
The Brain Rhythms and Cognition group provides a setting for research on neural mechanisms of cognition, with the position involving advanced neuroimaging, behavioural analysis and computational approaches to speech and language.
