About this position
This research opportunity at DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory focuses on developing novel methods for cyber deception. The project invites a researcher to design, develop, publish, and prototype adaptive deception systems that can respond proactively and reactively in secure communication networks.
The work centers on the generation, deployment, design, and reconfiguration of decoy assets such as honeypots, honeynets, and honey-tokens. The research direction combines game theory, reinforcement learning, and state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods to model complex adversarial decision-making and to adapt systems to human or agent actions and changing contextual situations.
The opportunity sits within the Network Cyber & Computational Sciences (NCCS) area, which is described as enabling secure and resilient communication networks for distributed analytics in multi-domain operations. The broader ARL research environment spans scientific and technical areas relevant to the Army, including communication and networking and computational and information sciences.
The advertised advisor is Dr. Charles Kamhoua.
