Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is advertising one Industrial Doctorate (DEng) position in Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Perception under the SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC). The project focuses on building sustainable and robust AV perception systems with direct relevance to real-world autonomous driving and national AI initiatives.

The position is supervised/announced by Xin Lou, Associate Professor at SIT and Adjunct Senior Research Scientist at Illinois Advanced Research Center Singapore (IARCS). The research area is strongly aligned with computer vision, deep learning, robotics, and applied machine learning for autonomous systems.

This is a fully supported doctoral opportunity funded by the MOE scholarship for four years, including a competitive stipend and full tuition support. The student will start from September 2026 and will be awarded a Doctor of Engineering (DEng) degree upon graduation.

Ideal applicants should have a strong background in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or Robotics, with proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Interest in robust AI and autonomous systems is emphasized, and both fresh graduates and professionals with relevant experience are welcome.
