Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is advertising one Industrial Doctorate (DEng) position in Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Perception under the SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC) . The project focuses on building sustainable and robust AV perception systems with direct relevance to real-world autonomous driving and national AI initiatives. The position is supervised/announced by Xin Lou , Associate Professor at SIT and Adjunct Senior Research Scientist at Illinois Advanced Research Center Singapore (IARCS). The research area is strongly aligned with computer vision , deep learning , robotics , and applied machine learning for autonomous systems. This is a fully supported doctoral opportunity funded by the MOE scholarship for four years , including a competitive stipend and full tuition support . The student will start from September 2026 and will be awarded a Doctor of Engineering (DEng) degree upon graduation. Ideal applicants should have a strong background in Computer Vision , Deep Learning , or Robotics , with proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow .
