About this position

The University of Copenhagen’s Analytical Chemistry group, in collaboration with Eurofins Environment, is recruiting an Industrial PhD candidate in Analytical Chemistry for the GALADRIEL project.

The research focuses on advanced analytical methods for identifying and understanding micropollutants in wastewater. The PhD project will involve chromatography, high-resolution mass spectrometry—including LC-HRMS, SFC-HRMS, and GCxGC-MS—and the development of non-target screening (NTS) workflows.

The candidate will have the opportunity to combine academic research with industrial method development. Approximately 50% of the time may be spent at the University of Copenhagen and 50% at Eurofins Environment in Vejen, Denmark, with access to advanced analytical instrumentation and collaboration across academic and industry teams.

Applicants with a background in analytical chemistry, chromatography, or mass spectrometry are particularly encouraged to apply. International applicants are welcome, and the position is advertised in English. The start date is as soon as possible. Applications should be submitted through the linked Development Chemist and Industrial PhD advertisement.
