What's required
Applicants should have, or expect to be awarded, a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area. Exceptional candidates with a first class or upper second class Bachelor’s degree may be considered. Relevant areas include IoT systems, wireless communication (especially LoRa/LoRaWAN), AI/ML, embedded systems, or environmental sensing. Professional experience is also considered. Essential: ability to work independently, critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and good communication skills. Desirable: practical experience with IoT prototyping (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), familiarity with Python or MATLAB, understanding of flood risk or climate resilience, and evidence of project/lab-based work. International applicants must provide a valid English language qualification (IELTS 6.5 overall, no band below 6.0 or equivalent).
