LLM Post-Training Research Engineer / Postdoctoral Researcher in NLP and Financial AI Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence in United Arab Emirates

Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is hiring an LLM Post-Training Research Engineer / Postdoctoral Researcher at IFM, working with Prof. Preslav Nakov’s group.

The role focuses on hands-on work with open-source large language models, especially post-training and alignment methods such as SFT, instruction tuning, DPO, and RLHF. The team is looking for someone who can contribute directly to training, fine-tuning, adapting models, experiments, code, and research, not only prompt engineering.

Relevant interests include machine learning, natural language processing, LLM evaluation, robustness, and alignment evaluation. Experience in Financial NLP or Arabic NLP is a plus.

This opportunity is best suited to candidates with strong ML/NLP engineering experience, including large-scale experimentation and model adaptation. The post explicitly invites strong ML/NLP engineers, postdocs, or PhD graduates.
