PhD and Postdoc Positions in Immunology, Single-Cell Biology, Genomics, and Precision Prevention in Berlin Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in Germany

ImmunoPreCept (Berlin) is recruiting for PhD and Postdoc positions in a highly interdisciplinary research environment focused on immunology, single-cell biology, genomics, precision prevention, and translational medicine.

The Cluster of Excellence brings together researchers across Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Max Delbrück Center, and partner institutions to study how immune systems maintain tissue homeostasis, how immune dysfunction emerges, and how early disease can be intercepted before clinical manifestation.

PhD positions are offered as E13, 65% contracts for 3 years. Postdoc positions are offered as E13, 100% contracts for 2 years. The projects span topics such as immune homeostasis, host–pathogen interactions, multi-omics, spatial profiling, machine learning, bone marrow immunology, immunotherapy response and relapse, MASLD, and autoimmune dysregulation.

Several projects explicitly welcome applicants with a computational background (bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics, physics) or biologists with strong computational training. The research is highly collaborative and cross-institutional, with training and career development supported through the ImmunoPreCept Academy.
