Desirable experience includes peer-reviewed publication, tutoring business students, and helping seek external funding.

Funding: Bond notes tuition fee waivers through the Australian Government’s Research Training Program (RTP) for eligible Australian and New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents. The RTP also offers a limited number of living stipend scholarships, with a current full-time 2026 rate of AUD 34,315 per annum.
