The Chair of Agricultural Production and Resource Economics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is inviting applications for a PhD position focused on empirical and applied microeconomics within the context of agricultural economics, sustainability, and digital transformation. The research group operates at the intersection of agricultural economics, resource management, policy analysis, and technology adoption, and is embedded in both the TUM School of Management and the TUM School of Life Sciences.

Research topics include productivity and efficiency measurement, policy design and impact analysis, resource allocation, growth and welfare evaluation, and technology diffusion and firm-level innovation. Excellent English language skills are required, and candidates should be willing to acquire a working knowledge of German. The position is funded according to the German State Regulated Public Salary Scale (TV-L E13 2/3), with an initial appointment of 2 years and possible extension.
