About this position
Linköping University is seeking a PhD student in the Department of Computer and Information Science, within the Cybersecurity (CYBER) division. The project focuses on developing and evaluating new privacy-preserving methods for immersive and network-based systems.
The doctoral research combines method development and analysis with practical implementation and experimental evaluation. The successful candidate will work on challenging problems in cybersecurity and privacy protection, with an emphasis on methods that can be studied theoretically and tested in practice. The advert also highlights connections to computer networks, performance evaluation, multimedia systems, and applied data analysis within the broader research environment.
The position is supervised by Professor Niklas Carlsson and is embedded in a research team of PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and senior scientists. The group works in an internationally recognized environment and collaborates with researchers in Sweden and abroad, including partners in the United States. Research outputs are expected to appear at leading international conferences and in scientific journals.
The post is based in a large and broad computer science department with strong research and education across fundamental and applied computing. The environment is described as supportive, international, and designed to help doctoral students develop into independent researchers.
