About this position
Louisiana State University’s Forest Entomology Research Group in the Department of Entomology is seeking a PhD student in conservation ecology to start in Spring 2027. The project is centered on forest entomology, arthropod ecology, insect ecology, biodiversity, and restoration ecology, with a strong focus on how environmental variability shapes species interactions in forest ecosystems.
The advertised PhD project examines the ecology of terrestrial arthropods and insect communities in the context of a large restoration effort at Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge. Funding: admitted students will receive a competitive stipend, partial health insurance coverage, and a tuition waiver. Four years of funding are guaranteed.
