About this position
Linnaeus University is recruiting a motivated PhD student for research on the impacts of glacial meltwater on biogeochemical cycling in northern Greenland’s fjords.
The project will investigate how glacial meltwater influences the transport and transformation of iron, manganese, phosphorus, and organic carbon within Arctic fjord environments. The research sits at the intersection of environmental geochemistry, Arctic research, and biogeochemistry, with a focus on understanding chemical processes in rapidly changing polar systems.
The PhD researcher will contribute to improving knowledge of how meltwater inputs affect elemental cycling and carbon dynamics in northern Greenland’s fjords. The work offers an opportunity to study environmental change in an Arctic setting and to develop expertise in geochemical approaches to fjord and glacial systems.
The position is associated with Linnaeus University and its research environment in environmental and Arctic sciences.
