The candidate will integrate radiation transport and radiobiological processes, validate models experimentally at the Particle Therapy Research Center (PARTREC), and collaborate with other MS-RADAM network partners. The project aims to translate physical dosimetric parameters into biologically meaningful endpoints, advancing the understanding of key phenomena in radiation-induced biodamage.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in applied physics, medical physics, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, systems biology, or a related field. Strong computational modelling and programming skills, excellent English proficiency, and a keen interest in multidisciplinary research are required. Candidates must not have lived or worked in the Netherlands for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to July 2026, and must not already hold a doctoral degree. International mobility and willingness to undertake secondments are mandatory.

Excellent English language skills (spoken and written) are required.
