Project 1: Mechanical Overload Impact on the Immunocompromised Periimplant Zone and Osseointegration in Osteoporotic Bone
This project investigates how mechanical overload affects the bone-implant interface in osteoporotic bone, focusing on cellular and molecular mechanisms in the periimplant zone. The research combines advanced cell and molecular biology, imaging, and in vivo models to develop next-generation implants and clinical strategies. Project 2: Low-Grade Inflammation as a Treatment Target for Chronic Radiation-Induced Bowel Disorders
