About this position
I am looking for enthusiastic and motivated PhD students for my recently awarded Advanced ERC grant in the Physics Department at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We are looking for PhD students to work on developing catheters for OCT and Fluorescence imaging, data processing algorithms, and modeling of scattering and polarization properties of tissue. We are using these catheters in clinical studies. Why would you want to apply for this position?- You can work on challenging physics problems that will make an impact on patients- The project is executed by a team of physicists and clinicians, we have three positions available.- You have the opportunity to get a PhD degree in physics based on the dissertation you will writeWhat are we looking for?- Someone that has obtained a master in physics or a related field (e.g. Laser Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics; NOT biology or medicine)- Someone with either a good knowledge of optics and excellent experimental skills; or a good theoretical physics background and analytical skills with an interest in developing simulationsSee the advertisement text belowhttps://lnkd.in/eyqHsZSH…more
